Overview

FableBuddy helps parents create magical bedtime stories with their children. Our app uses AI to generate personalized, illustrated tales that spark imagination and make bedtime special. If you purchased FableBuddy via Apple, please note that all billing, subscriptions, and refunds are handled directly by Apple through the App Store.

Restore Purchases

Use this feature if you've reinstalled the app, switched to a new device, or your subscription isn't showing up after purchase.

Steps (iOS):

  1. Open the FableBuddy app
  2. Go to Profile → Purchases
  3. Tap "Restore Purchases"

If your subscription still doesn't reflect after restoring, try signing out and back into the App Store on your device, then restore purchases again.

Note: Restoring purchases won't charge you again. It simply re-syncs your past purchases from Apple.

Subscriptions & Billing

Managing Your Subscription

On iOS, subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID settings:

  1. Open Settings on your device
  2. Tap your name at the top
  3. Select "Subscriptions"
  4. Find and tap "FableBuddy"

From there, you can change your plan or cancel auto-renewal. Apple handles all billing.

Refunds

Apple manages all refunds for App Store purchases. To request a refund:

Receipts

Apple emails receipts for all purchases. You can also view your purchase history in your Apple ID settings under "Purchase History."

Tokens

Tokens are used to generate stories and illustrations in FableBuddy. Each story creation consumes a certain number of tokens based on the complexity and length.

Types of Purchases

  • Consumable Tokens: One-time purchases (e.g., 10,000 tokens) that you can use until they run out
  • Subscription: Includes a recurring token allowance that refreshes each billing period

Where to Buy

In the app, go to Profile → Purchases to view available token packages and subscriptions.

Note: Tokens are tied to your Apple ID and don't transfer across different Apple IDs.

Troubleshooting

Subscription Not Recognized After Purchase

  • Use "Restore Purchases" (see above section)
  • Ensure you're signed into the same Apple ID used to purchase the subscription
  • Check your internet connection

Token Balance Didn't Update

  • Pull down to refresh the app
  • Check your network connection
  • If still stuck, contact support (see below)

Images Not Generating

  • Check your network connection
  • Retry the generation
  • Ensure you have enough tokens
  • Update to the latest app version

App Crashes or Freezes

  • Force-quit the app and reopen it
  • Reboot your device
  • Reinstall the app
  • After reinstalling, use "Restore Purchases" to recover your subscription

Account Deletion

FableBuddy supports permanent in-app account deletion. This action is irreversible.

Steps (In-App):

  1. Open the FableBuddy app
  2. Go to Profile
  3. Tap "Delete Account"
  4. Confirm the deletion

What Gets Deleted

  • Your account and profile data
  • All settings and preferences
  • Your stories stored in our database
  • Your authentication record

After Deletion

You'll be signed out immediately, and data removal is permanent and irreversible. Your subscription through Apple will remain active until you cancel it separately in your Apple ID settings.
